You will find below, in e-book form, the book (in French) 'La famille Li' written by Jacqueline Scipion, born Lépissier, tracing the lives of Émile-Jean, Laurent and Charles Lépissier in China.

This 240-page book, self-published in January 1996, won the Auguste Pavie award in 1996 from the "Académie des sciences d'outre-mer".

It is Jacqueline’s work, leading to the publication of her book, which spawned the idea of this website.

But in 1996, it was more difficult to carry out research than it is nowadays, the Internet being less widespread than now and not of Jacqueline’s generation. Despite its high quality, Jacqueline's work is therefore incomplete and also contains approximations and errors.

The e-books presented in the following pages (Only available to members of the Association Émile-Jean Lépissier) are intended to provide important additional information, give many missing details and correct errors in Jacqueline's book. They must therefore be seen as an extension of Jacqueline's fine work, especially since they include hundreds of photos in their texts.

These e-books certainly also contain errors, inaccuracies and approximations. They will be corrected as new discoveries are made during additional research.
