The Honorary President of the Association is Mr. Jean-Marie Lépissier, son of Madeleine and Charles Lépissier, born in Yúnnánfu (Yúnnán) in January 1927 and dean of the Lépissier family.

Mrs. Marie-Claire Bergère
Mrs. Marie-Claire Bergère is a former student of the École Normale supérieure de Sèvres, a graduate in Chinese from INALCO (National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations), with an "agrégation" in History and Geography , and a Doctorate in Arts and Humanities from the University Paris-VII.
She held the chair of Chinese civilization at INALCO from 1974 to 1997, as a lecturer and then as a university professor. From 1978 to 1994, she was also director of studies at the École des Hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). Since 1997, she has been Professor Emeritus od Universities at INALCO, the Honorary Professor. She was also 'visiting professor' at the Chinese University (Hong Kong) in Septemeber 2001, then at Harvard University in the spring of 2003. She is an honorary member of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences.
Since May 2010, she has been a full member (3rd section) of the Overseas Academy of Sciences.
Mrs. Marie-Claire Bergère has been an Officier of the Legion of Honour since 23 October 2001, then was promoted to Commander on 12 April 2009 and finally Grand Officier on 16 September 2014. She is also Commander of the Natinal Order of Merit and Officer of the Palmes académiques.
Mrs. Marie-Claire Bergère is the author of numerous scholarly and fundamental works (see tab Small Bibliography), notably on the Chinese bourgeoisie and the history of urban China in the 20th century, and has published numerous articles in various French and foreign journals.

Mrs. Nicole Tixier
Mrs. Nicole Bensacq-Tixier, Phd in History of International Relations from the University of Nantes and graduate in Chinese from INALCO (National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations) has published in 2003 and 2013 two Dictionnaries of Biography of French Diplomats and Consuls in China covering the period 1840-1912 (Indes Savantes) and 1918-1953 (PUR), complétés par une 'Histoire diplomatique et consulaire française en Chine 1840-1912' (Indes Savantes), completed by at 'Histoire de la présence française de Sun Yat-sen à Mao Zedong 1918-1953' (PUR). (see tab Small Bibliography)
In addition to these works, she has collaborated in the organisation of events and exhibitions on China and in various publications : 'L'esprit économique impérial (1830-1970)' edited by Hubert Bonin and Catherine Hodeir (SFHOM 2008); 'Le monde Chinois' (Éditions Choiseul 2008); 'Dictionnaire de la France Libre' edited by François Boche, Georges Caïtucoli and Jean-François Muracciole (Robert Laffont 2010); 'Cent ans d'histoire des Outremers, SFHOM 1912-2012-, edited by Hubert Bonin (SFHOM 2013); 'La France en Chine 1843-1943' under the direction of Jacques Weber (L'Harmattan 2013); 'La Chine, une passion française - Archives de la diplomatie française XVIII-XXIème siècle' prefaced by Laurent Fabius and at the initiative of Isabelle Nathan, heritage curator at the Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Nouvelles éditions Loubatières 2014).
